» Phra Prang Sam Yot

Phra Prang Sam Yot is a symbol of Lopburi province, representing Khmer arts or Bayon which appeared to have influence in the central region of Thailand. This ancient Khmer palace is assumed to be built during the period of Phra Chao Chai Woramun between 1157-1257. The objective of construction was to use this palace as Varayana Buddhist Religious Center in the city of La Woe before being renovated and extended in a sanctuary expansion during Somdej Phra Narai Maharaj of Ayutthaya, and transformed to Buddhist sect discourse in a typical Thai way. Ancient objects which were found inside Phra Prang Sam Yot are kept in the National Narayana Palace.
